LATERAL POSITIONS

LAVELY & SINGER recruits highly qualified litigation associates, preferably with a minimum of two to five years of experience. We give our associates significant levels of responsibility, and look not only for superior credentials, but also for ethical standards, poise, and personality, as well as resourcefulness, initiative, and judgment. All replies will be treated with strict confidence. At Lavely & Singer, we give our associates "hands-on" responsibility for client matters and strive to staff efficiently to produce cost-effective results for our clients. Associates are not delegated to the library to merely draft research memo after memo, but instead, work on a variety of projects in connection with challenging litigation matters, including strategizing with partners and clients, negotiating with opposing counsel, drafting and arguing motions, and taking and defending depositions, all with appropriate supervision.

Associates are compensated by merit, an increasing trend among law firms. Every associate negotiates his or her own compensation package, which begins at a level competitive with that offered by other comparable firms in Los Angeles. Benefits include medical and dental insurance, life insurance, 401K plan, continuing education, bar dues, parking, and paid vacation time, among other benefits.
